Tomorrow we have a workshop about 70 miles away where I am presenting for the DREAM Act. More workshops and community organizing the next week. This summer we are trying to arrange a national DREAM tour and film screening in as many cities as possible.

It's just life.
you're an inspiration to us all =)

Nick's segment of the article is superbly worded.

It may have been the best summation of the plight of undocumented students that I have come across.

Good Job.

Fairness, relief, and a chance to live our lives is exactly why it is a human rights issue first and everything else second. You are branded and then denied for no wrongdoing of your own. Don't plea or feel apologetic when it comes to your rights.

Just read your section nick and was wondering about your GRE issues. I know of a few ppl that have taken it including my brother w/the use of his state ID. Is this the ID you lack, or you meant something related to our status, ie: social, greencard, etc? Also, international students don't seem to have a problem taking the test either, but I am unsure if they use a state issued id or a Mexican ID. Here in texas, even if you don't live in the state, you can get a state ID w/a foreign address (this was a few years ago and may have changed). If they accept foreign ID's than getting one from the consulate of your home country should not be an issue.

I do remember my brother having to request a number to put in instead of a social, I'll ask him if you want to know.
PS: There's other students here w/a master's degree, meaning they too had to take the GRE.

Ali - Undocumented students can take the GRE's. You must show a valid foreign passport. Even if you have a state i.d., you still would have to show your vaild foreign passport because one of the rules of the GRE's is if you are taking the test outside your country of citizenship you must show your passport. The complete rules are on the GRE website.
