I hope to have a way to return back home by the end of the year. I am from Mexico and that really bites. I'm from Mazatlan so I guess I will slave away at some American resort since I look American and have no accent. Eventually, I'd like to go to Spain or some place nicer.

As for my studies, I dont know how that is going to be possible since I'm returning to be a work slave. But hey, at least I will be somewhat free

So here I hope that I get the chance to return home because to be honest I have nooooooooo idea on how to even do that lol

I also hope that California falls into the ocean in 2012 ,so that I dont feel as bad when I am away (J/k)lol
Weren't you leaving like a year ago, dear?

The good thing about Europe (for those that may consider that option) is that you can work and live in any one of the European Union countries with the passport from the other country (in the EU). I haven't quite looked into how studying there would go..But if you stay there long enough it appears to be easier to obtain citizenship there (rather than having a relative petition for you..like in the US).

I'm pretty sure you just stereotyped a group of people, namely the "illegal" or undocumented population. Poverty is what you see in Haiti and other countries suffering from economic strife. Not all of America's undocumented population are poor. On the contrary actually, from all the stories I've heard and from my own story, we're pretty much like the average American. With the exception of one little thing: papers.

Also, I don't think I'm negative. As I said earlier I'm a realist and very well informed.
Again as I said I think it is possible to only get the Dream Act passed if the Democrats use the 51 vote rule. But gee, they are having a problem rubbing 2 sticks together to make a fire. I'm very disappointed with them. No backbone!!
Republicans have a don't care attitude toward Obama's agenda and haven't gotten off that boat. Most of these people are career politicians, who will do anything to keep their elected seats. If the Democrats try to pass CIR before the 2010 they will get slammed so badly that many will be lucky to be elected dogcatcher. Many of these right-wingers are down right scary and as they say nutty as a fruitcake.
You have to question the sanity of any people who will say God, Jesus and Guns in the same sentence. Being that I have heard some of these nut cases comments I would say that I do know their collective little mind. If they feel threated they love to get guns. Although, I would have throught they have learned their lesson with the US hate crime laws being on the books.

Now as to Americans sometimes being stupid or uneducated. Well frankly that is true. Especially while it come to anything considered foreign. But than again alot of non-citizens just as ignorant of this country's history. Many of you are very young to compared to me . I grew up when US public school taught US history and Civics. On my own I studied world history. I have over a 1,ooo books on many subject from archaeology to science, as well as fiction. Love reading and learning.

But I feel I must tell you the truth not to dash your hopes, but to be careful what you say in public to Americans who do not know you. I myself don't care for all the illegal immigrant who have really flooded in this country, but I don't believe in hurting or harming them or throwing their kid out of US public schools. The kids to me are innocent and always have been. I do find it sad that families have been broken up by deportations. But the US does have right to enforce it's immigration laws as it sees fit. I really wished that after over 5,ooo years of recorded human history people would have learned to see each other as part of the same species, that is the human race. The sad thing is that poor people no matter what their are seen as less than human. But Jesus did say that we will always have the poor among us, in this human system of things. But that does not make it right.

Peace

p.s.

I am not PC all the time. As such I find the term illegal immigrant very correct for what it is meant to be that is: a foreign immigrant who is in the country illegally.
Undocumented means: You don't legal papers and are waiting to get them.
Changing the words doesn't change the legal status.
Did you proof-read this post? ... I wonder. Moreover, what do you exactly mean by you are not PC all the time?

Do the same thing I've always been doing...survive. When a door closes, I look for the one that will budge..if it doesn't budge...I make it open. Where there's a will there's a way. I believe in taking calculated risks not utter stupidity. All we can do is that. Something has to give way. The system needs to be overhauled.
