Serious?

Even if you graduated from the CA high school?

Last time I visited WA for DL, I loved it. I love rain too. But my mom didn't like it. She thinks CA is the best state.(mainly for warm temperature)

I also agree that WA people seems nicer and they do drive slower. Seemed less crazy than here in LA.

yeah, im going to talk to the admissions office to see what I can do, because i really don't want to pay out of state tuition, in state tuition is already expensive as it is lol. $89 per credit in state $261 per credit out of state.

Nursing program here needs 116 credits. Ouch!

Yes, it is true. I have been told by a counselor.

No of course not true! everyone would just go to college wa then dont you think?
only wa high school graduates and there were a few exceptions though like if you're in the process of becoming legal, or someone claims you as a dependent here or if youre married or something. Im a portalnd,or h.s graduate and after a year of living in wa , i dont qualify for in state tuition simply for been undocumented .

No, you must have to have resided in WA state 3 years PRIOR to graduating from a Washington high school, or 3 years PRIOR to getting your GED in Washington, to qualify for in state tuition, if undocumented.

Otherwise, they will still accept you, but then you would have to pay out of state tuition.

This is all thanks to WA HB 1079, you might want to look it up before doing anything.

I graduated from Bellevue College (Twice) and transfered over the University of Washington where I graduated last year. I can tell you from personal experience that both of these schools are fantastic! There are several student and community organizations that are working towards the passage of the Dream Act locally in case that you want to get involved.

Sorry for the confusion. The counselor must forgot to mention me that one must be in the US legally to be counted as state resident if they stay in WA for a year!

Trust me, if that was truly the case, not one undocumented student would attend college in CA.

I think he means, if you're here illegally you have to wait 3 years, but if you're here legally then you would only have to wait 1 year to get in state tuition.
