Well, we came here back in 2000 and have been living here ever since. To tell you the truth, I sometimes sit down and watch videos of my city and wonder what life would be like over there. You know, I'll actually be a citizen of a nation instead of hiding here all the time. The more I see and reminence, the more I want to go back. But for now, I just want a definite yes or no so I won't be wasting my time in a place I won't be appreciated and stay here until I turn 25 or something. It's a good thing I'm going to be a senior next year and will have time to plan things out if all else fails.

When did you leave?
Haha. I do the SAME thing! Let me know if you find good videos. They are hard to find! I also read tourists' blogs and look at their pictures. I'm from Coyoacan, so I find tons of pictures of my city! As much as I love US, it seems like there is so much in DF and I wonder if I would really be that miserable living there. Who knows?! Do you remember living there? Most of my memories of Mexico are of my family. I wish I could remember what it was like to live there.

I'm glad that you still have time. I graduated from high school four years ago this month. All my high school friends are graduating from college this year and here I am, with one college credit. =/ Anyways...

I left Mexico in 97, when I was 8.

I know! Well I think I've looked at all the ones I wanted to see, which they really convinced me of moving back. There's one in particular called "Mexico City- The Biggest City In the World" which is like 10 minutes long and I just sit and watch the beauty of my city. To tell you the truth, I'm in your shoes as well. All I can remember is family, and that is very little! lol
Yeah, I just hope my dad can keep his job so I can at least graduate with my friends here. If he can't find any, then I guess it's time to pack things up and leave. But also, I'm actually excited about living there, you know?

Don't worry, we'll all move forward, one way or another.

Yeah I was 5 when I left.

I'm from Mazatlan Sinaloa ,but I really dont want to live in that state at all since I hear all the bad stuff about the drug cartels. I've been told its nice but that doesnt help me lol

I would like to live in a somewhat safe place in Mexico. I know thats hard to find but there has to be one place that isn't so bad. DF is a big city and well I would like to live in a big city.

Yeah I've heard stuff about that state too. It's a GIGANTIC city! lol I'm pretty sure you can find something to do over there. I mean you speak two languages fluently and you just got your college things right? It shouldn't be that hard to find someone that would hire you. Idk, I'm just an optimist

their useless degrees

one in transfer studies and another one in speech communication.

Anyways, I am scared to start school all over again. Sure, I can speak Spanish but I cant write it to save my life. Like someone mentioned here, I'm sure they all have those entrance exams.

Just watched it. Pretty awesome, but I could have done without the techno. Hehe. I once saw a video of a guy driving around in Mexico City. Omg, that one was scary!

So if your dad loses his job, you're going back? I almost left the US back in 06 after graduation, since I had just turned 17 and had accumulated no illegal presence. I was soo close. Thankfully, I met my husband that year.. and I chickened out.

Mexico City has a bad reputation, but there are areas that aren't too bad. My grandma is afraid of everyone and everything and she's lived there most of her life, so I'm pretty sure it's relatively safe. But yeah, I wouldn't move back to Sinaloa.

I'm not moving. I'm going back to apply for residence in Ciudad Juarez. I just hope they allow me to come back! =) And my husband is in Afghanistan.

No, I don't know if I could live anywhere other than in Mexico City. My entire family lives in or around Mexico City, so that would be where I would live.

Are you going back for sure? Are you from Monterrey?

Has anyone on DAP ever taken the entrance exams to any Mexican school? Is there one universal exam like the GRE over there where ALL the schools would accept over there? Do they accept the GRE?
Tell me your experience Please! :0)
