After months of negotiation and debate, far-reaching legislation to overhaul the rules of Wall Street failed a key test vote in the Senate on Wednesday, casting a shadow over Democratic efforts to push the effort forward.

This is for users like DA user who thinks "comprehensive immigration reform" can pass this year, DREAM as a stand alone bill is our best chance this year why is that so hard to understand....

I think we have a chance at both bills.

You need to get real, DA User. Don't you think you're a bit optimistic? I guess you are right in a way. Both bills do have a chance, but CIR = Fat chance. Enough said.

And even if it does not pass this year then we now know that Democrats will control the majority in Congress. It will probably be a sweeping vote to pass CIR/Dream Act early next year.

I said I wasn't even going to humor you, DA User. But...really?

Seriously, ECW, use your REAL BRAIN to think about the situation. It's good to be optimistic, but come on. Stop giving false hope to any DAers.

DREAM ACT will not be passed under any freakin' circumstances if it is a standalone bill. WHY? CUZ THAT IS WHAT THE CONGRESSMEN AGREED.

WHY WOULD ANYONE BOTHER TO WRITE THIS CIR bill if IT IS POINTLESS?

I don't want to destroy your hope because I AM A DAer too. I NEED A FREAKIN' STATUS TOO. I JUST FREAKIN' LOST MY 20K+ scholarships in total this semester even though I was chosen.

OKAY? LET'S GET REAL.

First of all....don't use caps.

Second of all....there is no CIR bill.

Third of all...there is a summary of a draft of a proposal of a CIR bill, that no one takes seriously in Congress at this point.

Fourth of all....there is a DA bill.

Fifth of all....you need to relax.
