Google voice

So yesterday sucked, and I was as crushed as I can imagine everyone on this forum was. So since the only thing to do is continue blowing up the phone lines I figured I would share this with you guys. All last week me and all my friends blew up the phones, however my cousins (13 and 14) have no cell phones, so one used my MacBook and the other my mac mini on their gmail accounts. Google voice gives you an actual phone number (that looks like a local land line so it looks familiar if your calling let's say your congressman) anyways we were able to add +2 to our army of callers by using google voice. I know it sounds like I'm pitching it to to you guys lol but idk if u guys don't want to use your real phone numbers or in my case just needed more resources try it, it's 100% free

I know about this service and it totally rocks!! Google gets better everyday. All you need is a microphone on your computer and all calls in the US are free. And there is no delay or anything; just like a phone.

My little soldiers are insane on the phones lol, the 13 year old was something along the lines of
Soldier: " yes hello, I'm calling in support of the dream act and would appreciate the senators support with it getting voted on in the upcoming week. Would you happen to know his public opinion?"
Staffer: "uh ok I'll let the senator know"
Soldier: "great chief, Now I asked you for his public opinion, would happen to know what that is?"
Staffer: "um I don't think were supposed to give out public opinions until after the senator looks into it or votes on it."
Soldier: "in other words, your keeping his PUBLIC opinion private so I don't argue with correct? K thanks sunshine."

Same thing with gmail...I don't use these free services from google because they usually scan conversations. It isn't really to stalk to you but to give you more relevant ads. I still don't like it though.
