Student Visas still don't do anything for the DREAMer looking to enlist after they finish their education. Or before completing their education.

And having one measure that says you can serve and stay is completely unfair compared to the measure that says you study then leave.

It will force some DREAMers to make an uncomfortable decision and some may end up choosing something they DON'T want to do because of the inflexibility of the bill

1. Let them lower the age from 35 to 25-26. I know I'm selfish because I'm only 17, but if DA does not pass now it may never come up again for years with Republicans controlling the House and Obama having a 90% of not being re-elected in 2012.

2. Change conditional green card to student visas with work permit, or any combination. "Legal" status is MUCH better than being undocumented. There are a lot of avenues one can use to get permanent resident status if one is on a legal status.

Partial Dream Act > no Dream Act at all.
How about no? I have family that are like 28 now and they have been here before you were born or when you were a germ cell. Lowering the age max requirement will be no good, just as increasing the age min limit. If you want to talk about changing something, how about changing the time you spent in this country to 10 or 15 years.

So how about you propose that idea? need to be here for 15 years straight and have entered before you were 16, i mean after all by your logic

partial dream > no dream right?

Either we are all free or we are all not free. the dream act is an extremely watered down version of what we deserve , adding admendents would be ridiculous.

My mom's a US Citizen and she's also paid her taxes.

You must also realize that $30-50k is an unreasonable amount of wages to garnish, especially considering that no matter how DREAMers are portrayed as being 4.0 valedictorians, the majority of us are broke and undereducated and in no position to be paying off that large of a debt.

If that $50k was given to us as a 30 year loan with a 6% APR, the monthly payment would be $300. I think many people would have a hard time paying that.

christ... let's not carried away with imaginary numbers that have no basis. Whatever happens in the senate will happen, it's upto the senators to decide which amendments they'll consider.

Anything written on here is just speculation and opinions at best, although some are just ludicrous and out of touch.

Don't let it waste your time, spend it on phone calls instead.
