I just started working at my first job today. And it's every Sunday, from 8am to 8pm. I basically just stand by the door and monitor if anyone steals.
And sometime, I need to take the bags from the customers and keep them. I know it's not hard, but at the end, I'm exhausted and only got paid $65.

So, how much do you guys get paid? Is it also under the minimum wage?

Wow that's tough, 12 hrs of standing up, what a bitch. Well my first job was working for a non profit community org, i would get paid 7 an hr back then. Now i have gotten a little lucky as i have 2 jobs, one pays me 9 an hr. the other one pays me 17.50 an hr tutoring kids. I have money but i don't really have a social life, aside from the gf and stuff. I think your getting screwed over because your getting paid like 5 something an hour but hey a job is a job, at least 'till something better comes up.

This is insane. Where do you live? You need to find out what the minimum wage for your state is. The minimum wage for NJ was $6/hour 5 years ago and now is $7.25 for both New Jersey (&New York). You shouldn't work for less than the minimum wage.

My friend's illegal and she works in a lab in Cornell U. for a professor. The professor really likes her and know that she's illegal. So the professor paid her $40/hr out out of her(professor) own pocket/debit card.

Depends though. My brother works in a lot of restaurants before and they only give him $20-30 per day which is way below minimum wage if you count it by hours. But what makes him earn like 100$ per day is the tips

I think there are some laws that allow for paying under the minimum wage if tips are involved.
