There is already a paper trail documenting the fact that you did live in the US. Think school records for example. There is no point in sneaking out.

They check southbound traffic in Laredo, for example. However, there is a bridge to the north of it that avoids Nuevo Laredo and the southbound checks completely. It is called the Columbia Solidarity Bridge. It is practically empty on the US side because all of their resources are in Laredo proper. I am sure there are other areas at remote border crossings.

And you are wrong about the document trail part. No one keeps shittier records than the US government, especially since all of ours are old. Can get a new passport probally when there, new ID, get a job for a few years then who knows.

You can't just say you're tight knit, it has to be a documented fact.
I think this is a better idea than sneaking out and lying that you were never in the US. Do your parents have medical conditions that require your care? Will it burden them financially if you were separated from them?

As far as I know, intentionally fudging facts about your immigration status during the interview with the US Embassy will result in a permanent ban. Hell, one of our family friends was banned from the US because she lied about being married to a USC, and yet another one was banned for lying about her salary.

Besides, can't they prove that you already have prior presence here through school records?

Good luck, and let us know how your case goes.

In my experience and from what I've read on other forums, not really. I just turned in my expired I-94, and they didn't even look at it- they just waved me through.

Lets be real. If they can't find any of us yet, do you think they are going to find our school records?

lol, true enough. You can always try it and report what happens, though.

I'm just saying Mexico keeps horrible records, and with a "mordita" you can possibly get the right document placed. I don't know

What I do know is that the Extreme Hardship Waiver is almost impossible to get. You have to prove that whatever relationship you have with the USCitizen and whatever problem there is, can't be handled in your home country

When going to Mexico, only the mexican government checks you for weapons and that's about it.
