I got accepted for Fall 2011.
I am thinking of living outside the city and commuting in. I don't know though how far outside the city I am willing to go. I think as long as I was within one hour with traffic of school and my job i would be ok.

If it's SF state, you can live in Daly City. There's a big apartment complex called Westlake that's pretty close to SF state. About $900 for a studio and I think $1200 for a one bedroom. There's also a free shuttle that goes to SF state from the Daly City Bart station.

I think I probably will look for an apt. in Daly City. San Mateo is probably too far for me. Or is it? I don't have a car. Daly City would be perfect though for my situation. I just can't wait to finally transfer.

How long do you think an average ride from San Mateo to Frisco would be. Any idea?

I'm not entirely sure. The route I know would be ride the bus from San Mateo, then get off Daly City bart station then wait for the SF state shuttle, then take that. The bus ride is probably 40 min, and the shuttle should be around 10 min. So most likely an hour or more commute.

all you future ppl need to hit me up! ive lived in oakland since september.
sf is really nice , I work there but it is too expensive and some neighborhoods are shit, the best one of course is the mission district but ppl consider it "ghetto" i dk why
Oakland is actually an amazing city, lots of real culture, and berkeley is basically a 5 to 10min ride bike to berkeley basically from any where in oakland. berkeley is really nice too
parking and driving in sf is pretty inconvient but bikes are the solution. I might move to themission after my lease is up . Oh and I pay 550 for my room, rent out the living room to a girl for 475 includes most utilities . take about 35 mins from oakland to sf on bart. if youhaveany questions just let me know, I have some experience moving to dif states by myself
