People who cant provide a SSN, are required to show proof of legal residence in washington. I guess the state wants to crackdown on counterfeits, and so the department "takes" 60 days to verify that the person actually lives in that residence. If you have a valid SSN, then you wont need the 60 day wait.

During the 60 days, they give you a signed statement saying its your temporary licence, so you can drive around.

Anybody who has anymore information please post it up I am also planning to go up to Washington because of the crazy women in New Mexico is making it harder to do anything over there.

So is The 60 Days is more like a Probationary Period? Or They actually investigate if youre living there or not?

yup,I already consulted Pink abt that if they actually investigate but she is still astounded that still(she applied Nov2010),no calls have been made to her Apt. by any DMV staff.

So for the people with SSN, they require you to show the actual card, right? Because mine says "Valid for work with INS Authorization."
