You know something, I went to a community college and most of the hispanic kids who were either born or came here at at very young age and who took the english test failed it... It's not difficult to find these kinds of kids in ESL classes at community colleges.

You don't know the lifestyle I had back in my country, you don't know the reasons why I came here. Everyone here thinks that just because we come from Latin America, we are ignorant, they think that we barely know how to read.

So what's the difference between you and me? The accent? I can take classes and suppress it. But why would I want to do that? It makes me ME and i want to keep it that way.

You may not be racist, but you definitely have the wrong idea of what makes someone American. You want to keep feeding their prejudice.

It's almost as saying lets interview those illegal immigrants who are blond, blue eyed and have an american accent only.

Almost all the points you made in your post are true and correct I agree with them..

But you said it your self it's been 10 years and it's going to be another 10 if we don't do something deferent.

It's about presenting the American people with an image of themselves. Since your talking about colonialism then I know your smart enough to know how we the brown people have been categorize and made into the enemy do to the Mexican American war..

I don't know why this is such a sensitive issue yea maybe we should only get blond green eye girls to represent the dream act i'm sure that would be very effective..


By the way how the hell is it fare that your friend came here at 17 and is now legal I've been here since 5 and many others since 2 and 1.. I guess our parents really screwed us on this one....I don't know your friend but i'm pretty sure I'm not going to like him and his snobby elitist attitude.. I bet he has an accent too..

Ok guys it seems to me that every time I turn on the news they are interviewing a dreamer who came to the U.S at 14 years old, looks very foreign and speaks English with an accent.
