If being Gay is a choice...
Then the straights had gay inclinations at one point but chose to be straight. On the other hand, the gays had straight inclinations at one point but chose to be gay.
Sigh... no wonder some straights feel weird about the gays... they should have tried out the gay thing when they had the inclinations and they would understand. Unless.... they never had the inclination/choice

For many being gay is definitely a choice... Although I do agree some could be born gay..

It's like an ugly chick decides to be gay because no guys like her.. I've seen it happen..

If it was a choice, it was a choice by the divine. About the ugly chick becoming a lezzie... that's just a bit tragic...

I hope whoever this girl is realizes being gay is not the same as being blind....
----------------------------------------------------------

My experience was that I have always felt this way. Even when was 5 or 6, I found myself attracted to guys but I thought to myself at that time, "that Red Ranger could turn any little boy gay. He's so hot." Okay, not really...but I did find myself attracted to the red ranger and I really liked the pink ranger but not for the reason most boys would have...lol. I had to hide the fact the pink ranger was my favorite or risk being alienated and being called a sissy, which I was but it's still a rather insulting thing to be called. I always said my favorite ranger was the blue one; oddly enough, he happens to be gay in real life so it was fate telling me something. Funny to think that the Power Rangers provided the first clues to my sexual orientation. LMAO.

There was a time where I tried to convince myself that I could like girls but that was the part of me that didn't want to disappoint my parents. I found some girls pretty and if they had nice personalities it made me like them but sexually they did nothing for me. My brother-in-law had a lot of porn and sometimes I would flip through it. I was just like "meh." Didn't understand the attraction, still don't. lol. At that point, I told myself I could not live a lie. Liking guys was natural to me and it felt unnatural to be otherwise.

Of course, I was still afraid of coming out to people. I always only had male friends from elementary school through middle school. Guys tend to be less understanding. In High School, I became friends with a lot of girls which was liberating. Even then I only told a few of the girls. The others I didn't tell would sometimes get crushes on me, which is just awkward. I didn't know how to tell them, "it's not you, it's me because I like penises." I usually ended up ignoring them until they stop bothering me. I don't handle people having crushes on me well.

Man being closeted and coming to terms with your sexuality fucking sucked. *shivers*

If I could chose, I might chose to be straight just for the fact that it's an easier route. No hiding who you are, feeling ashamed to let down your parents, the majority of people of the world have the same sexual orientation, no religious freaks telling you that you are sick, and not being oppressed in society.

With that said, I'm happy being who I am now. It's been a tough journey internally. So many hours of hating myself because I wanted to be like everyone else. So many moments wasted trying to be someone I wasn't. So many tears that fell trying to gain the courage to be me. It was worth it.
