I don't know how much physiologist cost, buy I think they're too expensive. I just need somebody to talk to. Being illegal is really getting to me, lol.

.... and I don't want to talk to other dreamers, or friends, relatives.

Thanks!

Other dreamers might be your only hope dude...

Do not talk to your friends unless you want to make them uncomfortable and act weired around you for ever....

You don't kneed a physiologist, just go to a counselor but even that is not a good idea some counselors are bitches...

Here is my advice to you!! This will work..

1. Get a girlfriend or boyfriend and have a lot of fun and sex..

2. Work out and exercise and a lot this will keep your mind free and release endorphins. The natural antidepressants..

3. Learn an instrument and learn how to sing or make music or any hobbies that you enjoy.

4. Get medical Marihuana and get high when your stress is building up...

I"m sorry but there is no other known cures... I once cried at a female doctors office..

don't do it keep your pride... She ended up giving me inti antidepressants pills..

If you need any help.. P.M me i'm a great with this kinda things...

And dude don't make your poor parents pay $ 100 an hour for some stupid shit...

Please don't get high all the time. If you must use marijuana be conscious, that while it is not physically addicting like alcohol, it can still become a psychological need. Besides substance abuse is only a temporary high that can have devastating consequences. The addiction possibility is very real. You don't need to complicate your life anymore than what it already is.

Psychologist and Psychiatrist may vary in price but more likely they will charge a pretty penny. I suggest you call a few offices around you to find out what their prices are. Sometimes they have student discounts. A friend of mine began a back and forth conversation with his psychologist before ever meeting him through e-mail. You can see if any of them participate in something similar and test them out before actually spending money.

Therapy can help you to an extent and so can the drugs but the reality of being a Dreamer is still quite difficult. Our stagnation is not part of our imagination and that is something no amount of therapy can erase. All we can really do is cope the best way we can.

You can surround yourself with friends or people in general you feel comfortable talking about your problems. Even if they can't fully understand what you are going through, it is often of great respite to be able to talk things through with anyone willing to listen.

Counselors can provide a degree of help. They are trained to deal with students with stress and depression. There was a workshop that a counselor did at my college where they helped you with emotional issues, I didn't go to it, but maybe your college, if you go to one, provides something similar.

I know you said you don't want to talk to DREAMers but I highly suggest it if your problem is that being undocumented is getting to you. No one better understands what you are going through like someone dealing with the same difficulties of life. I have to say, being part of this community has helped me with coming to terms with what it means to be undocumented. I don't feel so alone; there are thousands just like me and all we can do is try to stay a float and hope for the day where we can flourish like we were suppose to.

Regardless of what may happen tomorrow:
We'll all float on, OKAY!

Sorry I still don't want to talk to other DREAMers. Just seems that everybody is still better off than me. Yes my illegality is the root of my problems, but it seems that even illegals can grow "alright". For me it's like my illegal situation lead to one thing, than another, and another, and know I feel like I'm in a deep hole and cant get out.

I actually want to do all the things you said on your four step system, but I will never do weed. The thought of something controlling me scares me. But I have always felt like I needed something to take the edge off.

Thanks for the offer to help! I'm still reluctant though. I don't know. I'll think about it. I know it cant be healthy to keep everything bottled up.

I don't know. I don't want people to feel sorry for me, but I'm coming to the realization that I need to talk to somebody. Anybody! Well except for dreamers, friends, and family. Somebody who's a pro at this kind of stuff, lol.

Just putting it out there.. Marijuana doesn't control you. Like you said it takes away the edge and also makes food taste wonderful. However, Happygolucky is right don't smoke it for the wrong reasons, theres a fine line between people that smoke for pleasure and people that smoke because they think they need it. I'm sorry you don't feel like you can talk to other Dreamers, it seems like you are really on a down right now and I wish that you would go ahead and let lose on some of your thoughts, even if you don't think the responses will help you it might help just to get it out there.

It's no secret that some dreamers are way better off.. Like that dude who lives in Washington they give you licenses up there and he has a business...

But most of us are not.. You might feel like your the only one but trust me you are not my friend...

Like I've said in other posts.. My life is so bad right now that I have suicidal thoughts every night.. It's like a miracle just trying to get some rest and sleep.. Anxiety is the worst..

But you have to be strong bud... The answer is simple nobody cares well I care because I know exactly what you are going through..

But nobody else does and you don't want people to feel sorry for you?? That's exactly what your going to get and it's the only thing your going to get.. Don't be naive enough to think they are going to go out of the way, to do the impossible to help you...

Whats your reason for not wanting to talk to other dreamers???

About the girlfriend take what ever you can get man.. I know it's hard to find the right person with so many limitations..

Hey man, I would like to further emphasize lifedreamer's suggestion of exercising. This is a very natural way to boost your body. Just go to the gym and start lifting, running, swimming, whatever you like and most likely your gym will have a steam room where you can rejuvenate later. Start eating well as well and use sugary foods in moderation. Just stay away from the drugs..whether its marijuana or anti-depressants and that physiologist or psychologist is not going to help you in any way. Almost everyone on here has same feelings as you do..we're not perfect. Please feel free to message anyone or even myself. This is the beauty of this community. We're all equal and willing to participate in conversation with each other.

Psychologists and psychiatrists may help you, assuming they understand what we go through, which is unlikely to be the case atm. I spent two semesters seeing a psychiatrists after I started manifesting a large number of very much physical symptoms of depression and anxiety, ended up being diagnosed with severe anxiety and severe depression. At the beginning, yes, it helps to see a psychiatrists, however, the people that I was seeing had no experience with what I was going through, all they could do was to refer me to an attorney to see if my status could be fixed (...), or help me find more information directly if I felt uncomfortable asking questions to counselors or anyone really and insuring anonymity (which is actually a good benefit).

However, I do emphasize that the result from that help may not be as long lasting as originally expected, but I attribute that help as being the result of someone of some importance listening to you, rather then therapeutic help. After some time of going to someone that cannot really offer much help or offer advice on what you could do it does not end up helping that much.

I do strongly emphasize meeting with other dreamers, particularly in groups that are active where you will be around people that completely comprehend your predicament, but at the same time they are not meeting somewhere to just complain about their situation but instead doing something about it. Whether you become involved or not is not important, just the act of being around other people in the same predicament who are doing something about it should be sufficient enough. Beats paying the little money you have to a psychiatrists.

BTW, some of those dreamer organizations do comprehend the importance of psychological help and at least the one I am involved with already gets help from a psychologists who is willing to listen to dreamers and hold group sessions. (and pretty soon that kind of help is going to increase as I get the counseling center of my school involved, in the end they learn more about what it means to be undocumented and generate something that actually works). Additionally, if you seek a psychiatrist, you might want to try seeking one that works on a sliding scale and ignore the insurance that you have as it may end up costing more.

That was the advice given to me by the last psychiatrists I went to see. On a sliding scale they take into consideration how much you can reliably afford to pay, whereas insurance is usually a one rate fits all sort of scenario.
