The fat guys' points:

1. Include the cost on the bill, he said its about 12 billion (Oh god, long run is too far!, short run is much better, typical republican arguments)
2. (Forgot 2 lol)
3. Attach anti illegal immigrants bills such as e verify and Secure communities.
4. No drunk drivers, no sexual offenders on Dream Act

Durbin to guy: "You seemed to have been more moderate today, have you had a change of heart?"

Can we have a list of GOP members present there? So far I've heard of only Cornyn and Grassley. Where's the heavy hitters at??

Everyone left! LMAO!

I appreciate Durbin's efforts to bring forth the DREAM Act. You can tell he really cares about us. He gets really fired up to defend us!

So thats the end of the hearing I guess? Just saw updates from twitter Durbin has ended the hearing. How'd it go for those who watched it? What's your opinion? Let's hope Obama issues some sort of statement to confirm he actually paid attention to the hearing.

It was a good hearing but I don't feel optimistic at all.. I wish more republicans would have been present..

I think many of the Repubs are right we need to address certain issues in the Dream Act..

what i'm afraid is that Durbin will not listen to the advice and continue the Dream Act as it is... We need to make changes like adding a degree as a requirement and E-verify if Dream is to have a chance.

What issues did Republicans raise? They will always come up with some excuses.
