The New York State legislative session has ended for the year. The New York Dream Act went nowhere.

I don't exactly know when the next legislative session begins. It might be in December 2011 or else it's January 2012.

The New York State Youth Leadership Council (http://www.nysylc.org/) is apparently still working on lobbying for it. I guess people can continue to write to legislators and the governor for support, but nothing is really happening until December or next January. Governor Cuomo was very successful in pushing for gay marriage. If this was a cause that he picked up on, it would be a gigantic help to us.

yeah Cuomo is alright and equal marriage rights was his last "gold star" before the end of the session. I'm pretty sure NY DA is forever lost in the legislative annals of wherever they get lost.
