i don't get it why congress want to pass this bill? If congress did pass this law, it would
do harmful to third world countries because engineer, scientist etc.. would not go
back and improve their countries. THIS is why third world countries wont become develop countries because u.s is taking away bright mind people.

WHAT Your opinion?

doubt it, from my understanding it target international students that come to the US to study in certain fields of technology and it hopes to avoid the whole having to go back to their country's of origin to apply for a different kind of visa and just allow them to apply for the visa within the United States.

haha this is bs. so when you speak fluent english and have stem degree but have no status, they dont care but if you've been here for only 4 yrs, speak no english and have stem degree w/ international visa, they wanna make it easier for them to stay.

hahahahahahaha. No wonder stock market crashed again yesturday. We better grab out degrees and get the hell outta here hahahaha.

Oh just in case you guys didn't know, US is still borrowing bc they don't plan to pay back the debt.. they know that $ is going to become nothing. America is going down.

Hey Black Thursday, keep it comin' Hallelujah

Oh, and let's not feel sorry for any country that doesn't want us here. Hope rednecks become homeless and starve : )

This guy is spittin knowledge here folks. Don't be fooled by all these "compromise" talk. US is very good at blowing bubbles to avoid doing major work and catastrophic consequences. One day it will all come down just like the financial crisis at the end of Bush's term. Although I have sympathy towards international students who can't find sponsorship, I also feel like it makes no sense to ignore actual Americans who have been brought up here.

Don't worry, as far as i know, it's called STAPLE ACT, as of now applies only to PhD. I don't know how many foreigners have Ph.D. in STEM but I doubt this bill will get many candidates. This won't benefit many.

Something like 40+% of PhD holders in the sciences are foreign nationals.

I hope this bill would had covered STEM dreamers. I am pursuing a STEM degree becuase I think it is the only possible degree that would be of use to other countries but US would be great.
