Today, a federal judge has blocked Alabama’s controversial anti-immigration law from going into effect on Thursday – however the stay is temporary. Judge Sharon L. Blackburn stated she needs more time to look at the various suits filed against HB 56 including the suit brought by the U.S. government.

Like we didn't see this coming lol. It was obvious a federal judge was gonna block this legislation from taking place, after all it is tougher than the Arizona one. Cheers

Meh. Frozen yogurt?

Excellent news, though. It makes it harder for the Supreme Court to make any of these laws valid.

So that it discourages current illegal immigrants as well as future ones from taking place in their state. It's supposed to be a deterrent that kinda works in our favor, since it puts immigration back into debate in Washington.

Stole the words right out of my mouth. Imagine all the resources used to get a controversial bill like this passed. These are educated people even though they are racist. I'm sure they were aware that its not constitutional and its not their right to regulate immigration. It's a federal job which unfortunately the fed is ignoring. This leaves only one explanation...its only to show their voter base that they are aligned with them.
