Man, its like having my own thoughts, feelings & experiences being read back to me. Its like u guys can read my mind or something. Spooky. lol But seriously tho, u guys hit it all on the head so exactly that I'm struggling to add anything unique to the convo. It's so refreshing to have a place like this forum where u feel like people can relate to u & your experiences & where u have something in common with others. I'm very grateful to have this portal & all of u who can relate so thanks every1! I'll reply back when I come up with a unique response.

Worst part of being illegal is having the Shittiest (Literally) job in the world. Other than that I don't let illegality affect my daily living such as being able to drive, go to school, go out with friends, etc. etc. They don't have to know.

Like I said the only thing that bugs the shit out of me is work. I NEVER EVER LOOKED forward to working. I hate my job with a passion, but what can one in our situation do? Yep I just have to suck it up til the shit starts smelling like gold. /rant

In general, not having a DL. You can do many things with that fucking thing. I would not mind being illegal if I had that. I want to move to Seattle just to get one. The only thing that stops me is that I have job of the kind I know I will not get anywhere else. Other than that, life is pretty sweet. I have close friends who support me.

Also, not being able to get a stipend at the university for Ph.D. I guess I will have to pay for it my self.

DL+stipend = greatness

I am sorry for your situation man. I honestly have hated some of my jobs, I worked at fast food for a while, but other than that I must say that I loved some of my jobs. One at a banquet hall full of 17 year old hotties and the one that I have now.

Did you graduate yet?

Yeah, I worried sometimes that I would get arrested since I was 19-20 at the time.

Anyways, what is it that you do?

Any chance you could look for another job?

Also, what are you studying for if you do not mind me asking?

Eh, it's not all bad. I make do with my life.

The ID thing is what bothers me the most. I can't ever get into a club, bar, or any other place where people my age go to hang out. I'm not a big drinker, but it's still pretty vital to be part of the group when they decide to head out to the bar for a quick drink. I don't have a car so whoever I'm with is greatly inconvenienced in that they have to drop me off then head back. A few times like this and suddenly you find yourself not being invited to the initial activity...

No DL means that dating is kind of out of the question. Seems like girls in Texas expect someone of my age to already be working and living on their own. Nobody finds it cool that I'm living with my mom (even though I'm finishing up my degree =/).
