Obama keeps on lying and we all keep listening. He can't/won't do a thing, he's nothing but a puppet to the big corporations.

Useless. If the goverment is really serious about fixing immigration, then they should stop handing out temporary solutions. By the time that permit expires, we'd be back to being undocs again, and by then we'd be "someone else's" problem. But since it feeds into a politcal hot topic, it could likely be what's going to happen. Who knows?!

Yes, leave it to the president to pass a law on his own without congress. Let's see how long he'll last in office. Go tell your USC friends and family to vote for a Republican and lets see how long you'll last with the current contenders. If truth is your definition of a politician you've got yourself a bit of reading to do before you can seriously function in this world.

Contrary to what some of you believe Obama isn't an immigration fairy godmother who will grant your wishes in a single flick. Apparently some of you believe that every Americans out there thinks immigration is number one priority when 98% of them probably has no clue what DA is all about. There are DA eligible people out there who doesn't even know what the bill constitutes.

5 years?
So he is no considering start working (CIR) next year if he wins the election?
Does he needs more record deportations in the next 4 years and act on CIR in his last year of his second term? For whoever still remains in the country.
His friendly fire is going to kill us all.

VMD, I wish I could agree with you. But, there is a recollection of the time that Democrats had control of Congress and could have done immigration reform but choose not to that makes my nuts super itchy and gives me a migraine.

He lied. What he needs to do is apologize for deceiving us instead of making cocky, insensitive declarations like this. He pisses me off. He says he has five years, but we need something FAST; we need it now! so WE CAN WORK DAMN IT! HAS IT EVER OCCURED TO HIM THAT WE MIGHT NOT HAVE FIVE YEARS?! It's not like we are robots who live in parks and don't eat and pay rent. So, stop defending him vmd. He may be the first African-American President of this country, but his accomplishment does not excuse the evidence that he did not live up to his promise and screwed many of us over--especially those who did not have a criminal record and were deported before the Morton memo.

That's Politician 101. I never said you should believe him, but rather he's the lesser evil in contention for the upcoming election. I know what he did is subject to scrutiny by the immigrant community, but they did vote on the DA bill under house and senate control and it was turned down. He could've brought it up earlier on after winning the office, but in reality we're pawns.

I will get chewed out with what I am about to say. But, I prefer Romney and the Arms Act, Santorum and the Arms Act, or Newt and his Red Card idea+ the Arms Act. Obama gives us no hint that he will try really hard to pressure Congress to act fast on the issue.

I just wish the same station would interview Newt and he can promise us the same thing. Even though republicans against any sort of reform, I feel the only way things will get done is if a republican steps in; for better of for worse.

Romney is not going to sign the arms act he is a liar, he only lied. Are we forgetting that the one who came up with the arms act was Newt. I strongly believe that Newt would push for a CIR if he would be elected. I only think that he does not go as far as to say that because he would loose complete support, that is why Newt limits himself to saying he' give us something instead of nothing at all.
