It only came to life during the Florida primaries. Have they spoken about it recently after Florida?

The answer is...no. The ARMs Act is just that...pandering for the (few) latino votes the GOP can scour for. Nothing will be even mentioned outside the general elections this coming November. And vmd, I agree with your last posts, pretty much spot on what I posted few pages back...

One thing I'd like to say. The desperate feeds on irrationality.

Romney is not going to sign the arms act he is a liar, he only lied. Are we forgetting that the one who came up with the arms act was Newt. I strongly believe that Newt would push for a CIR if he would be elected. I only think that he does not go as far as to say that because he would loose complete support, that is why Newt limits himself to saying he' give us something instead of nothing at all.
I feel the same way NOW. I feel like a Republican has a higher chance of getting things done on immigration than a Democrat.

Newt or Santorum.

This is very funny how all of you are cursing Obama when he is pretty much our only chance of passing the Dream Act right now. Whether you'll say it outright or not, it's the truth. Here's a tip: support him instead of opposing or you'll be crying if a Republican gets elected and deports your sorry ass.

He supports it in rhetoric. But, he has not done squat. Bush tried to do more on the issue in his last two years than Obama and his first two years in office. And, he has the nerve to say that he tried? My ass he did. Bush showed much more effort. Where is the determined leader that exerts all of his political capital on the issue?

I have yet to see him PUSHING VICIOUSLY for the DREAM Act or some type of relief.

Yes, Obama has deported more people than other presidents. What is worse, he has not exerted SUFFICIENT political capital on the issue.

I prefer Newt (Red Card or Arms Act) or Santorum (Arms Act). Obama is an insensitive bastard that overlooks the fact that we do not have his sweet time. He may have fives more years. But, many of us do not have five more years. He should put himself in our shoes. He is an insensitive bastard. Period. And, that's my opinion Kingsam. It's nothing against you.

Obama knows he is going to win so he is doing what he can. By the way DA came the closest to passing under Obama's administration then any other President. He will also have the option for EO in his 2nd term.

Obama has deported 1.5 million people, most of whom were rooted in this country and NOT criminals. The truth is that he had no idea what to do about immigration and came into office with no legislative plan to reform immigration. The "Alternatives to Immigration Reform" memo was drafted in June of 2009 and the DHS "Registration" memo in February 2010.

If you are the President and you order the top honchos at these agencies to tell you how to work around immigration laws administratively so that you can execute them (as you have the Executive power) at your convenience to buy off the votes of the immigrant community, then the record makes it very clear that you had no intention of seeing CIR pass in your first term.

And now he is saying that the timeline to TRY to get it done is 'till 2017; he is not planning on passing a law. He is going to implement the aforementioned memos, year by year, until everyone here illegally has been registered. Every time agents go out to execute an arrest warrant on someone, no matter how decent the person, it is because a top official at DHS has ordered it. Under Obama's command. He has deported plenty of dreamers' sorry asses; with plenty of other dreamers' sorry asses being left behind every year as more and more age out of the mythical Dream Act.

I'm still for Obama. Maybe he hasn't done enough for us DREAMers, but I don't agree with Santorum's/Newt's/Romney's other beliefs and intended policies. I see a lot of DREAMers hating on Obama for his actions (or lack of) when it comes to immigration, and it does frustrate me as well, but I refuse to hate on the guy for that.
