We've migrated to a cheaper, $49/mo server to keep the costs down. We will scale up as needed when traffic spikes.

I've revamped our donation pages and added the ability to sign up for recurring donations of $5, $10, $15, or $25 a month. You can help keep DAP going for the price of a Starbucks latte!

To everybody who has donated, Thank you! We already have enough money for the next two months.

However, this is a problem that we need to solve permanently. If you can afford $5/mo please sign up for recurring donations.

Thanks for all you do, Nick! For many of us, this website has become an addiction. Almost every time I log onto facebook and I also check it out here. Learned a lot here and have found support. Thanks again!

Good stuff. I'm sure if only a few of us sign up for recurring donations, we can manage the costs. I know many of us have financial struggles but those who can manage it should def consider. Just one question. If one does sign up for the monthly donation, how does he/she cancel it in the future? Is there an option or we have to let you know directly?

You can cancel recurring donations at any time by logging in to PayPal. You don't have to let me know at all; I am grateful for all donations, and I understand that circumstances change.

Why don't you just move it to bluehost or something like it where you can just pay 20 bucks a month or less?

It won't hold up to our traffic.

Basically, any shared hosting provider, such as bluehost or Hostgator, will bring the site down. You might have noticed that that the site slowed down significantly even after we downgraded our VPS package. (I intend to do something about that, btw.) The last shared hosting provider we used, kicked us offline for several days (until we moved to a different host.)
