smooth, you're getting owned! I feel pretty bad about what Dems might do to Rubio's potential bill...so I think I'm gonna forget about the DA, Arms Act, StaRS Act, wetback act....etc

Plan B is now in session (wink)

I'm surprised that people are forgetting that the democrats did try to do something for DA -- namely voting on it and getting it within five votes of passing.

I find it funny that so many of you are jumping on the republican bandwagon when they wave some unsubstantiated piece of bacon in front of your nose while you ignore the people that have generally worked towards helping you in the past.

I can't believe that you're all forgetting that the republicans have done nothing but been obstructionists towards any immigration reform and have in the past used these same exact tactics of supporting immigration reform to gain short-term support and then not acting on their promises. Are you forgetting McCain and pretty much every other former DA advocate? The same people who supported DA up until the point where it was actually time to vote on the bill?

Reading some of the comments here, I see that some are leaning towards the, "Great idea, Rubio. Eff all you Dems that are opposing this or saying you will oppose this! You better not oppose this!"

This is too presumptuous an opinion to make. While I see that Smooth does commend the fact that good things are being said by Rubio, you can't be upset for Democrats for opposing this stated idea(which he calls a bill) by Rubio. I mean, they've actually done the work of constructing a bill, getting it voted on in both houses of Congress and even won in the House of Representatives.

Rubio has been all talk, getting every potential beneficiary of this bill so excited, without actually giving a solid piece of evidence that shows us that we should give him our support, or even our belief.

I know we are getting impatient, frustrated, and just plain helpless while these politicians that so-call care about us do nothing to alleviate our statuses. However, we should not be easily swayed by the sweet words coming out of anyone's mouths, Democrat's or Republican's, because they are merely that: words.

As for me, I won't be supporting any "side" until I see a news article on CNN or another news outlet that states that a bill has been actually drafted and sent to either house of Congress for debate/approval of committees.

Let's try to keep peace between us, everyone. Remember, united we stand, divided we fall. (Corny, I know. Bare with me.)

And depression is my past time.........even though i should be AT LEAST a little bit happy because i got my report card for the 3rd marking period today......4.225 GPA. ? More like . It's a reminder that i won't be able to acheive anything great because my life sucks, even without my status(I'm pretty sure i have a severe case of self-pity). Instead i spend my free time on my fkin computer typing this line, coming onto this website and become more depressed than before. Happy news is rare on this website, still why the hell do i always come on here? Because i still cling onto a tiny hope that there might be something good. I am wrong, i am a terrible person, and i suck

Awww kingsam, don't say such things, I'm telling you, you have options, you can work your way out of this. And dude, there's no way you're going to get happier by thinking you're terrible, you're most likely a reasoned amicable young man.
