Hhahaha thanks Guys. Well I was centered on the east coast, in the northeast, in Connecticut. Australia certainly has way better weather and Sydney looks ultra modern and sleek,it resembles Hong Kong way more now then say for example New York City. But unlike both cities it's also sprawling like LA in a sense, it just keeps going on forever and forever and there's no technical city government of Sydney.

What I also find amazing so far about Australia is that the cities have no real slum area. Sydney just seems totally affluent or at least middle class, there's no concentrated area of poverty, which I find an incredible feat. And because of that I find a true nationalism here. You get the sense people here are proud of being Australian, of belonging to this amazing island continent.

The people here again seem really relaxed. But yeah I'm not a genius, far from it, I guess I just work really hard, maybe too hard haha. But yes no genius by any means, but yes so far Australia is rocking. And yes again PM me, I pretty much have like a guide of things to look out for and/expect if you do decide to ever apply to a school in Australia. Pm me and I'll tell everything I know so far.

But again, my eternal message like always,if you have any questions pm me and I will clue you in. I also want to say that the school I'm going too is pretty awesome and large, so even if you're like a non-engineering or even non-science major there are places for almost anyone at this school provided you work hard, your gpa is at a comfortable level, and have tons of luck during the application process.

Do it! I know I'm 5 pages late, but go ahead. And like someone said, if you are 18 and a half, the ban is not that long. By the time you finish at the school, the ban period is over. Congratulations man, seriously. This is good news and I am so happy for you. Nowadays, there's skype and facebook and Facetime and all the technology in the world to keep in touch with family and friends.

BTW, what is the school called? just out of curiosity.

Yeah I'm already here, it's pretty amazing here, it's been the best week of my life. And yeah I've been in pretty close touch with my family and close friends in the state. As for the school's name pm me.

Dude, you just made my day better. Seriously, I'm glad to read about your adventures 'cause it's nice to see something good about us for once, (not that the sad stories are bad) but we need those like yours to even it all out.

I agree. The world is not over for any of us just because of our status. We have hustle and we have pride and I really truly firmly believe that regardless of if the dream act(or any form of it) passes or not, most of us here will find and can find success almost anywhere in the world. And I would truly advise any dreamer to seriously look at the prospect of schools abroad. It can become a solid Plan B and could wind up becoming your dream. But again, if anyone has any questions, pm me. I can even help regarding those who are applying to American schools, because I attended an ivy school before leaving.

The genius-ness of some of these dreamers scares me, in a good way.

I'm thinking of writing a guide on foreign universities and making it a sticky. I could personalize it for Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand schools. What do you guys think? I think it would be a huge help for high schoolers and maybe some undergrads as well.

I'm glad you took the scholarship! Australia's a great alternative to America. I'm sure you'll be happy there since you'll have a legit ID card and all. I know I feel happy when I'm back in my home country and doing well for myself, never feeling hiccups over employment paperwork. Besides, the ban is only 10 years and you might be able to go back to America when you're an Australian citizen. Congrats!
