I was just wondering if we need to show proof that we have been here for the pas five years. I was looking for bill or anything and realize that I don't have any for 2008 I have been here since 1998. Does anyone think this could be a problem? I graduated from high school in 2007.

Acceptable documents to prove presence:
  • Bank statements
  • Medical records
  • School records
  • Sworn affidavit
  • Work records and/or pay stubs

This is not a complete list, but only suggestions from USCIS.

How did you enter the U.S.? If you are a visa overstay, then you can provide your expired visa as proof of your continuous presence. United We Dream said to try to be creative if you don't have any of these things. For example, if you actively use 4Squared or Facebook or you gave an interview last week in reaction to the announcement, then you can use that can prove your presence.

I am sure you will need to provide more than the visa just to be safe. I've been in an out of school and haven't attended full time since 2009, but I have my graduation audit from my university as proof that I've been here along with my current cell phone bill, medical records and my high school diploma. I also have a notarized statement that I was physically present in the U.S. on June 15 and listed where I lived.

I'd send the I-94, gym records and anything else like bank statements and the order receipt for your online purchase. United We Dream said some of us are going to have to be creative about our proof.

Is providing paperwork from when i was in Preschool necessary? I have my preschool graduation pictures from 1993. I came to this country in 1991 and i have medical records to prove it, but i don't know if it is overkill. What do yo guys think?

Unlikely...we'll just have to wait to see the exact requirements and what documentation is needed. Please be patient.
