You could register at your local community college to show you fulfill the "currently in school" requirement.

Also I'm still not holding my breath for August 15/13th/whatever. USCIS isn't exactly known for their speediness.

I believe you have to be "currently in high school". He's good.

Here's a question. When we submit our ORIGINAL documents to USCIS, how will we get them back? Will we get them back?

Sadly no, a few weeks ago was the first time I was ever hospitalized...
So I can't think of anything for that year...I had a phone but it was prepaid month to month and I was working little one time jobs so no records there either...

Or maybe, cellphone records if you have any. Or you can get an affidavit from any reputable organization like your church or youth organization or from any city official who might know you were here, who can attest to your presence during the period and have it notarized. Pictures if they were dated would help, too. Hope this helps

Those are some ideas I hadn't thought of...the work one is out since it was personal checks or cash usually...ill check out any old pics I may have or possible mail (highly doubtful) but I'm on the lookout for anything at all..that was a year I wasn't doing much in the terms of my life and finances...I really hope it doesn't kick me in the ass

A personal check written out to you would be proof if you can get copies of the cancelled checks

Can the person who wrote them request them at their bank? Or what? I'm about to go on a manhunt for my previous employer if at all possible...I've waited 16 years I'm not taking any chances on something finally happening lol
