Hey Fellow Dreamers,

Im here to give possible light to those of you whose receipt numbers can not be found on the USCIS case status page. My receipt number starting in LIN1290833** for a long time was not found. I was told by a USCIS rep that it probably would never show up, and that I would need to call for updates... but today as I was calling something told me to use the automated case status (even though it never worked in the past) and it informed me that my case had been approved and my card was in production. I figured I put in the wrong number or something, so I tried again online and it worked. Both 821d and EAD were approved. So anyways.. the point of this long story (lol) is to shed light on those whose cases have not been found on the website.. TRY NOW!!!
And good luck to everyone here. I was one of the individuals who kept thinking that my case would be the one that would be denied or complicated, or not enough evidence. Keep those negative thoughts out of your heads and before you know it, your approval will be in the mail.

Completed on my own: BS in Biology
App sent: 08/15 to Dallas priority mail

Requested Walk in 09/12 in new state
Approved on both cases: 10/01

I like how you mentioned your degree "BS in Biology" next to "completed on your own" statement.

And Congrats!

Ha ha, I didn't even realize how arrogant that sounds. I knew some people were curious about school status with being approved, so I figured I would put it there..
Didn't mean to sound snooty.. lol. But thanks.

Sorry to hear that. I figured they started updating our case files from those of us who applied 08/15. I'm sure by the end of the week it will show up.

Heck yeah, I will. I have waited for this moment for 10 years...and that's just when I realized it meant something. I've been in this country since I was 3, and I'm 26. For many of us, it's all we have ever known, and it sucks that it takes a piece of paper to proove all of that.. sigh* oh well..The wound has a band aid over it for now, but i'm still working on how to heal it
Good luck to you!

I feel yah. I been here since 10, now I'm 23. Attended elementary to college.

I lived in US longer than where I was born.
I don't even know or remember my birthplace.

This is where I live and breath. It is heartbreaking to have a piece of paper to prove that we been part of America since more than decade ago.

But I'm thankful that this is happening to me, to all of us.

Cheers!

Judging by the patterns I've been following with Nebraska, you get a response about two weeks from the date of your biometrics. Any body see any different?
