You know (to all those putting down the military) it is through this wars and their sacrifices that this country is able to offer us a comfortable life. It is funny that some of you attack it since the US military does so many humanitarian missions every year in some of your countries. Why hate a country's idea when you came here against all odds? No one is perfect. It is funny, when stuff goes down and the UN needs a military presence to clean up a mess who do they call.
People like to live a comfortable life but they do not like to talk or think about the wheels behind it.

Thanks and Gig 'Em

Yes im aware of the humanitarian and 'humanitarian' aid the US provides.

If youre talking about the immense wealth that resides in the US at the expense of third world countries i think you need to have a second look. Ever heard of economic imperialism? Why do you think many of us came to this country? Low wages shitty working conditions. This is bc corporations based in the US do whatever they want in other countries.

Instead of name calling why dont you investigate it for yourself. Then come back and let me know if im making this up. Or if its just Liberal propaganda.

I love this country but that doesnt mean i agree with everything it does. At one point in this countrys history it was productive to have discussions on important issues. Sadly today all i get is: 'unpatriotic' 'and pussy.' I am in no way saying i dont admire our troops. They are courageous. But that doesnt change the actions of the military as a whole. If the cause were worthwhile then thats a different story. Why would you sacrifice so much for such a bs cause?

Gulf of Tonkin incident turned out to be false, hence the Vietnam War was sold on lies
here is the NSA declassified document made public in 2005
http://www.nsa.gov/public_info/_file...nks_bogies.pdf

Weapons of Mass Destruction turned to be false, hence the Iraq War was sold on lies

Why would I want to join the military if all these wars are built on lies? o_O

Google the "Operation Northwoods"

They were planning on hijacking airplanes from Miami and crashing them into buildings and blame it on Cuba in 1962 to start a terror campaign against Communism & to have pretext to invade Cuba and overthrow Castro.

And no, it aint a conspiracy theory, the document was declassified in 2001.

Imagine what other documents will be declassified in the future from today?

Yeah no thank you, history taught us over and over again about imperialism and blind patriotism and nationalistic propaganda.

Who are you to determine what is a good cause and what is a bullshit cause?

That's just the military. Did you know the CIA in the 50's 60's tested LSD on unsuspecting Americans in new york and California in brothels that they financed? Google Operation Midnight Climax and you can read where a guy that was a U.S. marshal was unknowingly tested and he pretty much robbed a bar thinking that people were after him.

Not sure how thats relevant. The CIA does all kinds of shady stuff. But its all in the 'interest of America.'
