but my question is: Did they have any problems with trying to do a walk in, as opposed to going on the assigned date?

That's bullshit OP. I walked in with nothing but an expired passport/visa and my notice and they did my biometrics. That guard was just being an a-hole.

I'm sending my packet tomorrow, and all I have for proof of identity is my birth certificate, and 3 different school IDs. Would that be enough? Btw in located in Fort Worth, Texas so which center would be the closest to me? Thanks for the help. (y)
