Omg that's so awesome, congrats to you! So if you don't mind me asking, you just went to the Social Sec. office, got a printout (which says that you applied for a #?) and with that and your EAD you were able to get the license? (Have you had a license before?) Sorry for so many questions!

With your permit, did they give you a specific timeline on when you can take the road test for the full driver's license?

for me, I was able to take the drive test the day after I passed the written test. I think only if you are under 18 they want you to practice your driving skills until you are ready to do the drive test. The instructor said to me "You got your permit yesterday, did you get enough practice behind the wheel?" i just smiled and said yes I have been practicing. lol (Been driving since 16 yrs old. 24 now)
