Well, I don't have the tangible card yet. It is on its way! I hope it gets here quickly. It does seem that new approvals do not need to wait the 10 days! Ill keep that in mind. Thank you.

Question! How did you study for your test?! I have an appointment at the DMV next Thurs! Pointers? Tips? Please?

Thanks and the same to you! I have been driving for a while also but I don't feel confident on passing the 1st time without more practice. Hope you pass next week and let us know how it goes.

Read the driver's manual and do practice tests online. It's not that hard. Pretend it's a final for a class and really study for it. Lol You'll pass if you see it this way. Good luck!

Ahh, I see Yeah, I was super anxious waiting for the EAD! Yeah, no problem Gotta help each other out!

Just read the entire booklet and do the practice tests online at the dmv website. Also, I went to youtube and searched, "CA DMV Permit Exam October 2o12" for different tests that they have. I was in luck because the last video I watched, was the same test I took

that's super fast schedule for roadtest.. the fastest roadtest appointment that I could find in NY is like 2 month waiting period..

So, mine is in December.. lol

Yeah, I was really surprised to see one come up so fast. Where I live it's a population of about 250,000...with other cities containing the same amount of population but with separate DMV offices. Maybe that's why

Hi everyone,

This question may be out of place, but I am also very anxious to begin the driving test process.
I have already received my EAD card and went to my local SS office to file for my card so I could go get my DL. They handed me a receipt stating that they would confirm my documents with Immigration. Since its been almost two weeks without any word, I was wondering if I would be able to go into the office and ask for a print out of my number. I am really curious about what your experiences have been with applying for a SSN.
