I-797C Letter Wrong Middle Initial - Page 2

i called right away, got it changed. The earlier the better. I have bio appt already but i am not going to do a walk-in. They said i should receive email or mail regarding the changes to name/address. Then offcourse my bio letter has a c c, so c (my last name) is listed as my middle + last name. So i called again, they said since you already called for a change, it takes 2 wks to change. So wait for mail. They said just tell the officer at bio that you already called to make the changes.

Post here if you guys hear anything back regarding the changes. Will do the same.

every body who is calling uscis for typo error
after talking to uscis take the conformation number this way u have proof that u called.

I received my EAD card in the mail today and it STILL had the INCORRECT initial. I even called and had it changed AND had it changed at my biometrics appointment and it's STILL incorrect. I called again and the lady on the phone said I would receive an email within 5 days with instructions on what to do.

It's just extremely frustrating, does anyone know how long this will take? Now I have to wait before I can get my drivers license...

I got the same thing. Presumably they are going to expedite the process. Please let me know what you get. I should get my thing by Saturday!

I went to the infopass appoinment and they told me I should send the application for a replacement with no fee.

I will wait for their notice and then mail the EAD back. Hopefully expedite does not mean 2 months.

Anyhow, it feels good that we are approved. Better than nothing

How did you get it expedited? The woman gave me no information other than wait for 5 days until I get an email. How did you schedule an infopass appointment?

I went online to do the infopass appoinment online. I went and the guy told me that I also should get something in the mail within 5 days. He told me he got the process expedited since I told him that my job depends on it. Which it does pretty much, I start working in the december as a RA at school and I need the EAD ASAP I also mentioned that I cannot obtain my state identification without the updated documents.

It could be all B.S but anyhow keep me updated please!

Also, I read in other forums that once you send the stuff you can fax your SC with a letter asking for expedition of document once you send it in.
