10 day wait after DACA before SSN - Page 104

Thanks! Also I found the app. Online, should I take it filled out or will they make me fill put theirs ? Sorry, I'm kinda nervous...

It's pointless to print it out and have it filled out unless you're going before they open. The wait time for a lot of people has been more than enough time to fill out 100 applications.

I'm sure someone has asked this but... for Question 5 on the application about citizenship, what choice do I put there?

I got my ead last tuesday and just went today to apply for the ssn, weird thing is I guess I wasn't in the system yet and the lady took a photo copy of my ead and said she had to "send the copy to the INS office in LA to get it verified." Has anyone had this happen to them? I know some have been told that they needed to resubmit their application after the 10 day wait period, but I haven't heard of anyone who had their application officer told them that they needed to send a copy of their ead to "INS" to get it verified.

You mean like a phase? with this week it will be 4 weeks since i applied.

Sometimes clearance takes more than 10 days.

hey guys, I just applied for my SSN! I waited about 6 business days, and the guy told me I should receive the card in 3-4 weeks..hopefully earlier? haha

Also, I asked him about applying for my DL in CA. I already have a Social # and now it's just going to be work eligible..so my question is if I know my social # already ..can I go to DMV like say..tomorrow? because once again, the guy at the SS office told me it takes 3-4 weeks for the system to process.

just try. since they don't ask for the card. you just put the number on the app, and show your ead. so just try. make an appointment though so u dont have to wait long

okay will do! so .. if they don't have it verified they will tell me to come back right?
I mean, I would rather have that happen then something go wrong
