CA DL thread - Page 83

I was just wondering because it's been almost three weeks since I applied and can't check the status of the id application on their website. I called today but gave up because I would have been on hold for more than two hours and didn't bother to leave a call back number.

I wonder what's been the average wait time for people here to receive their id? I see most people got them in a week.

Mine has been two weeks and no luck so far. It says that is being processed. It's taking forever

Drove two times (4hours) so far with an instructor and I have my driving test this Friday

lol we're all like, yea we're getting it this week... and these two are going on three and two weeks lol... we better calm it down bruin...

although the system says it has a delay of 2 days, so we might actually get our card/s before the system updates

great news. but yea, just looking at the above is really discouraging. and the fact that they don't see updates on the website sucks haha

So i have my dl appointment on Friday. But i am worried because i am taking my dad's car--which is registered under his name-- and taking my uncle who has a dl, will there be a problem?

no problem, as long as the car's insurance and registration are valid and current, and your uncle is a california licensed driver over 18.

btw, bluesky and dreamalive, do your paper dl's say "temporary" or "interim?"
