What I did was I called USCIS and selected option about DACA on the phone
and talked to the DACA rep about my situation..

first time I called I did not talk to a rep in DACA department,
I was asked for my info and then my email address so they could send me
instructions on getting a new card

then..I waited and got nothing.

second time I called, I selected option about DACA and a rep
in DACA department took care of my case
and asked for my email address again
this time I got email a few days later and it didn't tell me to send back my cards

It said my case is expedited and the case is in review
and I will hear from them in about 2 weeks..

Since there was Thanksgiving holiday week, I waited 3 weeks
and got a notice from USCIS that my card is in production...

Hey guys I also have another problem dealing with my EAD.

I recently moved to Tampa, Fl from Ruffin, SC. I sent my applications for DACA and EAD when I was living in SC and got approved. I lived with my family but came to FL to go to school. My EAD came in the mail and they had my old address on file and sent it to there. I got my mom to check it for me and it had the typo like I said in my previous posts. I got them to send me my incorrect EAD and approval notice and should come in tomorrow (my DACA approval has my correct info on it and was also mailed to me).

So my question is should I change my address for when they send me the correct one or should I just wait and get my mom to mail me it?

i guess thats the bad side of having 3 names lol

So I just got off the phone with USCIS I chose deferred action like you said and they gave me a email to email the Nebraska service center since that's where my stuff was sent to, to get a follow up about my service request that I called in when I received my EAD card. He said I should get a reply within 21 days and of I don't he gave me their headquarters email address and he said THEY WILL REPLY within 10 days. Ugh this is to much time why can't they just fix it!???

So after reporting the typo and waiting for 11 days, i went to the social security office with my typographical EAD card. I explained that they made a mistake on my name and the guy checked to see if my info matched with uscis and it did.

I haven't received any mail from uscis but i now have a social with my correct name so happy... Next step drivers permit woop woop!!!

Omg so we can still go apply for our social security!?? What state are you in?

Did anyone here send their EAD card back to the Nebraska Service Center? If you did, what address did they give you? I called in twice and both times I got a different address to send it in so I'm not sure which one is correct. If so, please let me know!

I called again today and the girl read me my notice........ which I haven't received yet... Good Lord. Also.... I think my lawyer put a different birthdate on my employment application.. So the girl told me to send the card back and proper documentation to proof there is a mistake

Thanks! That was the first one I got. I have everything ready so hopefully I can mail it back tomorrow. I never received a notice so who knows if they actually sent anything. I just hope this doesn't take too long to get fixed. I already have my ssn but it has the typo as well so I would need to get it fixed so I can get my id.

I applied for my social in Boston but i'm from Houston. They have to check to see if your information match with the uscis data base. In my case, the typo was only in the card not in their system or maybe the fixed it in their system but haven't send me the address where ill return the card. The typo was also on my biometric notice and i didn't see it till i received my EAD card.

It doesn't hurt to try and apply for social and it's free to correct the mistake if you need to...
