SSA, SSN and wait times - Page 81

Gonna have to go back and request a printout I guess, Bc I applied and was still within the 10 days, lady who helped said shed send it out on my 11th day, which was sometime last week, but ifeel like its up in the air and I wanna know the status of that too. Was on phone yesterday waiting for 45 mins, no one picked up. Gave up on that. I really don't wanna wait for a "printout".

All you beezys that are getting printouts, consider yourselves lucky! Both offices by where I live have told me they no longer do that, unless its under "special circumstances" which apparently needing it for the dmv isn't one. Ugh

Holly crap. We have very similar timelines. We sent our apps on the same day, we did our bios on the same day, we were approved almost the same day, we received our eads almost the same day, and we went to apply for our ssn on almost the same day. Hopefully we get it tomorrow.

I meant today actually, forgot it was so damn early in the morning.

I applied ssn today and on the receipt, it said it needs to be verifed and may take up to 4 weeks.
I think I wasn't on the system since I just got EAD card yesterday.
I know there are lots of ppl who applied ssn and told to wait to be verified.
How long did it take for those of you to get print out?

Just came from the ss office after 16 days wait. Originally, they told me to wait 10 days. They said that they still waiting on department of homeland security.

My Update.
Hadn't heard anything since i applied 13 days ago. No receipt, nothing. Went back to the SSA office where i applied, and the person i spoke to, came back with a receipt, and apologized for me not getting it early, also told me my card had been shipped out to me yesterday. I should have it by saturday or monday. Our DMVs dont take receipts unless youre under 18.
Sigh, either way... cant wait.

LOL Thats insane!! Its so damn similar, just off a couple days. You should have it this weekend or monday like me. Did you get a receipt when you went to apply?

Just sharing info:

Previously had a SSN card
On 11/29 went to SSA with my EAD, DL, and passport, but was only asked for the first two.
On 12/6 (today), got my new SSN card in the mail.

Yeah but the guy gave me the whole "it hasn't been ten days but we will hold on to your photocopied stuff and give you a receipt" rundown. And yeah, hopefully we get it by this Saturday or Friday because I NEED TO WORK haha. Do you live in California by the way?

I was cleared after one week of receiving that same letter, called office and went the next day to get the print out!

LOL i got the SAME EXACT Schpiel except no receipt. Got a receipt today. And No i live in NY. Lmao that wouldve just made it way too funny.
