For those who don't know. FBI does a criminal background check and USCIS also does their own background checks. That's why there might be a hold up on some cases, they have to clear anything that comes up.

Sorry Kawi, i sure am no kid... I'm a 30 yr old lady that came here over 20 yrs ago, hated the fact of feeling like an alien! Missed out on being born here, also missed out on the last amnesty... Grew up and actually assimilated into the American culture quite well... Gladly grew up here poor cuz in mex we were even poorer. Like u said its what u make of it (or something like that but my parents were not educated neither their past generations... And i probablly wouldnt of made it past 6 grade..
Luckily here i was able to go to college paid taxes and yeah unfortunately i got a ticket or two... Almost died in a car wreck... But i'm alive... Thank God. Now here we are, spent the last 5 yrs in a job from hell, it was an ok job but i was bullied and made fun of, but u know the rest... So sorry for crying and wanting to work with an EAD card so i can put food on my table and shoes on my fee, and mayb do the end of the year xmas splurge @ Victoria's secret. Its the Christmas season and i do want to be able to buy a present or two for pops and mom. I definitely am thankful that i had to pull out my bachelors degree to use it as evidence... But i also want to use it to get a great job but I'm not approved yet, and it is upsetting to see youngsters get approved without a worry...

Butterfly your story has a little bit of all of us. We have felt a certain way our whole lifes... yes we are tired but our world are finally about to change. We have similiar timelines and very similiar stories... i am 26 and ive missed out on that normal 21-25 lifestyle many have, going to clubs w/o worrying abut being let in, finding excused etc. life smiles on us. I hope the best to you an i wish all your dreams come true! Our time is coming very soon.
