So if you were in removal proceedings does that mean it takes your case longer to process?

Yes. Unfortunately that is the case for most of us...

So my Work Authorization status (I-765) now shows that my work permit is in production, but the deferred action (I821-D) still shows in initial review. Anyone else heard of this happening?

Hello everyone!

I also have a final removal order, due to a failed asylum back in 2003. My mom and brother were deported when I was 15 (In 2006). I live in south Florida and have a great attorney. He filed my application on 8/27 and was received by the lockbox on 8/28. My biometric's appointment was on 9/21/12.

After what seemed like a long wait, I found out today on USCIS' website that my 821-D and I-765 applications we approved today!!!!!! Although I initially received a text and an email from the lockbox with my receipt number, I did not get a text with the approval, so it is a good idea to track your receipt number.

Don't lose faith,, we have all waited so long for an opportunity like this (Some longer than others!) waiting just a few more days shouldn't be so bad! Good luck to all of you! And if you happen to live in Miami and are in need of a reputable attorney call Anis N. Saleh in Coral Gables. God bless!
