Im not stressing, i would just like to know...

My brother got approved with his full name

as in JOHN BOB SMITH DOE (hispanic people problems)

in the ssn app, under name to be shown on card, can he just put JOHN BOB SMITH? or does he have to write both last names?

Does he have to put the second last name under "other names used"?

And im guessing under section 5, we are "legal alien allowed to work" correct?.......because they have that "other" section....

[mod edit] I don't know the deal about the name, just go to the SSA place and ask them there, they will be glad to help. Yes, you choose the box that says "legal alien allowed to work".

Yes, you put "legal alien allowed to work" jesus people. You are legally allowed to work, therefore legal working alien. If you dont believe me look in the other forums or ask lawyers/immigration people. Matter of fact go to youtube and type in "atlasdiy" they guide you through daca/ssn process.

Actually yes [well my case is still in review, but soon to be], being granted work authorization and/or deferred action makes you legally present in US. We do not hold a legal status, but nonetheless we are legal aliens (same goes for drivers licenses, it's about legal presence, not legal status). "Other" pretty much means illegal alien, and there's no such thing as an illegal allowed to work since look above.

So no, it's legal alien allowed to work.

On the app, put whatever name he wants to be known as but make sure he indicates his long name on "other names used" field so he doesn't get USCIS confused (specially because his IDs probably have his long name).

And I agree with the ssa app answer "legal alien allowed to work". "Other" does not apply to DACA.
