you guys are amazing, having achieved so much even in the rough situation we were in. I honestly feel a bit ashame being a slacker! I only have a bachelor degree in finance. anyway, you guys are all amazing. please don't forget to do everything in our ability to help out our fellow dreamers who aged out.... especially those who will get into a position that can influence your employer, please advocate them to endorse the dream act!

Just a bachelor in Finance? That is no small feat! But yeah it's so impressive to see the engineers and physics and everyone!

Yeah, I'm about to get my associates in business from a community college and then transfer to UIC. It kinda sucks because I've been in the community college for 3 years, since I couldnt work and had to count on my parents to pay cash, but i just got approved today and will finally be able to hurry up and finish with school, and get nice paying job. i hope lol

Congratulations David, what a nice Christmas gift! Don't be too bummed about doing 3 years at CC..my cousin is a US citizen, very smart, and she did 3 years at a cc, then transferred to a 4 year to finish her last 2 years and she saved a lot of money that way. At least you will be able to transfer soon! Besides employers just want to know what uni you graduated from.

I have a Bachelor in Finance. I graduated with Honors, did an undergrad thesis, and attended my school on a full ride scholarship. However, I have not had a chance to start my career or even do any internships because of my legal status. I graduated 3 years ago, and I have been working as a server ever since. DACA has given me hope, it will be hard but I am confident that I will find and entry level job somewhere. Also, it is so encouraging to see DREAMERS getting Masters and PHd's. Thank you guys you are an inspiration!!!

Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering (2011). I have no related experience so I'm having a hard time finding a job and also it's the holidays so not many companies really hiring right now. I had a handful of interviews so I'm waiting for that. I think I want to do MBA afterwards?

Only a bachelors? lol no, don't feel bad, I think just having any degree beyond a high school diploma is a feat nowadays, not just for dreamers, but any regular person. It's extra hard for dreamers, of course, but getting an education is indeed hard nowadays.

I think this whole thread just goes to show people that things are possible with hard work and dedication, but legal status is, unfortunately, an important thing to have and that is needed for all these talented people to be able to thrive and contribute and why CIR is so badly needed.

Very cool, how are you managing to pay for law school if you don't mind me asking?
