Employment Related Thread for DACA Approved - Page 7

I've had my EAD for about little over a month and I haven't been able to get hired. I've been to interviews but nothing. I do have experience, but my problem is that I haven't been working for a regular job for about 3 years. I really hope I can get a job in the area I want (admin support) but I think I'm going to have to go to retail and I'm dreading it... I've never worked in retail and for a good reason: I hate sales.

Sigh.

So I found a job through those temp agencies after nearly two months of applying everywhere. You guys should look them up there are many on every city and this particular job I found is kind of good. I had no experience in the "office" job so that's what I was looking for. Will be working for corporate wells Fargo next Monday

Yeah I actually thought I had a applied on a temp agency, turns out it's a staffing agency, which is different. I thought they were the same, but apparently they're not (I have no job as of yet so, duh lol)

I think I'm going there Monday, this is ridiculous, I can't wait anymore, I need to have income ASAP, things at home are getting bad

It's very tough out there with limited jobs. I filled out apps online constantly. Over 20, got two call backs. One interview & didn't get that job. Just have persistence & don't give up. You will find a job. I finally landed a job. Orientation Monday, it's at Dave & Busters. I don't mind. I'm grateful & it's better than nothing. You always have to start from the bottom to get to the top. So don't give up.

Ive had my ssc not over a month, but I feel.like I havent use it. Lol. Im looking for a job but im still at my old under the table job...

I had my ssn since nov 9th. So far I put my number on my banking account & got a state I'd. It took me about 7 weeks to find a job. Everything doesn't happen over night. We are all starting a new life. So everything takes time. You will find a job, my next goal is to get my learners permit & slowly build my credit.

Is there a job board or websites you guys go to, to apply? Or off of craigslist? Where do you applyyyyyyyy. Haha! I need a job! Hire me!! Lol
