That is what I'm thinking too. Above 40 for the next two years. You can have an ok life and save. Once you get a GC or LPR you can move up to higher paying jobs and better positions.

I landed an interview with Pemex for a petro position they had listed, the problem was I don't live there or anything so I had to decline and just said no thanks. So if for X reasons, I don't fix my status here I will seriously move and seek employment in a different country. I can adapt easily or can try at least

I think 50-60k would do for now. Any job that pays more wouldn't be flexible would school, I'd have to do night classes and all -- I don't know how I feel about that. I mean, 50k pays rent and car plus a little fun, and a poor excuse for a savings account.
