You admitted you were undocumented and are good now?

you don't have to say that during the interview. that's unnecessary.

after you get hired and sign the job offer, you can just tell them "I am authorized to work in US. I don't need visa sponsorship."

You don't have to say a word more. If they ask you "are you an illegal immigrant?"

you can say, "I don't have to answer that. And I can file a lawsuit for discrimination."

Be smart. Tell them what they want to hear. Don't say things that will make them have second thoughts about hiring you.

Going to MBA without work experience is a bad idea. A good school will not accept you without 4~6 work experience regardless of your good GMAT score and GPA.

The purpose of MBA is to network, not to get a good grade. Good grade in MBA alone will not land you in the job that you want.

Also in many cases, MBA is used for career changer. (i.e. Mechanical Engineer -> Financial Industry)

If you still have access to your school's career website alumni, try to use it (if you haven't already)

Good option for you would be going back to school for Software Engineering and then start fresh from summer intern. From summer intern, you for a full time and then your starts from there.

My gap is only a few months because I graduated in May and my graduate advisor let me continue to work in her lab (unpaid) since September and even during the summer months, I had to present my research for the company that had given our lab a grant. My advisor knows my situation, which is why she let me continue to help so that I could write something on my resume. Anyway, I debated out telling them outright in the cover letter, but decided against it for now since I don't feel it is necessary. Did they question you a lot about it during the interview?

It definitely wouldn't be necessary for you at all if you don't have that big of a gap. My gap is a whole year and I've been out of school for about 4 years now. So it definitely needed some kind of explanation.

I didn't receive any questions at all about it during my interview. I've had three responses so far out of the four jobs that I've applied to. I'm still waiting on the response from the three that are in progress.

I didn't admit being undocumented. I admitted that I had "work authorization issues" that had to be corrected and took some time to do so. My gap was a year on my resume. I was doing an odd job that pays that isn't particularly relevant to my field, but I made it work on my resume.

My resume just looks extra random WITHOUT an explanation since I already have a BA and been out of school for quite some time.

I agree with Tyler. I would use my MBA to get into another field and to land an internship/job offer. That's my goal.

I would do software engineering and then do a summer internship.

Yes, I can see why you had to have some sort if explanation. That's good they didn't question you about it. I suppose when it comes down to it all a company cares about is that you can legally work now and that you have qualifications they are looking for.

Yep, I hope so! We'll see how things shake up with my job search. It looks like I'll get final responses mid-Feb. I'll keep you guys posted.

Also, go back to your schools career center and ask for their list of jobs. Join your alumni association as sometimes they give you access to job listings. If your close to your college go to their career day recruiting days.
Thats what I am going to do, also I am going to try to be open to getting an internship even if it is an unpaid internship.

It's funny.... I wasn't able to get even an unpaid internship prior to DACA.

So I'm trying to apply to this job at a pretty big accounting firm, and the employment authorization question is weird. There are only 4 options, none of which applies to us, I think.

1) I am authorized to work in the US for any employer with no restrictions.
2) I am authorized to work in the US for my current employer.
3) I require sponsorship to work in the US.
4) My status to work in the US is unknown.

I'm inclined to put #1, but I don't want them to think I lied. This sucks. Lol.
