It's all rhetoric. These guys are all about making the other look bad...

When it came to the budget issue, Republicans say Obama needs to be a better leader and take control. He needs to propose a bill; Obama is the president, he needs to start "acting like one."

When it comes to immigration, Rubio (read Republicans) says Obama needs to leave it alone and let them work it out. "How can Obama draft a bill without talking to Republicans?" I mean in all seriousness, with as much media coverage, you'd think Obama's staff knows where Republicans stand on the immigration issue.

Why is Rubio publicly saying that unless the White House consults with him, this is doa?? Since when is Immigration Reform his top legislative priority?

All Republicans are hostile towards the President; if he he leads, they automatically say no. If he doesn't, then they say he needs to get involved. Racists.

This isn't going to go anywhere if they keep disagreeing.

Well, it's been almost 4 months since the election, and Obama has been waiting for Congress with nothing to show for it. The window for CIR will only stay open for so long and as I've posted before, everything that needs to be debated, discussed and drafted has been done.

Really, there aren't any NEW ideas anywhere. Every single item being proposed by either Democrat or Republican has already been drafted. Ideas from 2001, 2005,2006, 2007 - type the fucking bill and put it up for a vote.

Actually both bills (senate and white house) are not far apart. The whole thing is about getting credits for the immigration reform so that they can use it to lure voters. Obama has said he doesn't care who goes first as long as they can get it done. I think the leaked bill is just to show the readiness and urgency of that matter for the white house in contrast to the republicans' "slow down" strategy.

WH Chief of Staff on immigration proposal leak: "Let's hope it doesn't have to be proposed".

http://t.co/Oyf5kffg

The White House bill is actually generous because it allows recipients of interim status to sponsor immediate family members (including, from what it looks like, deported immediate family members)...this isn't a "leak" because the White House itself released the info to the press. What a joke.

when watching Rubio, do one thing, look at his ears while talking, you will never look at him the same way.
