yes sir, my employer took me to get the twic they were actually going to pay for it but she said i do not qualify.

really? we dont i was about to go tomorrow, i was offered a job in louisiana

Yup, Juareza123 is right, we cant get a TWIC card, I just came form their office and told me that in order to get one you should have permanent residency, which we dont.

Damn this sucks, I found a job opening that required this card.

not permanent residency, as long as u have a work permit BUT it depends what kind of work permit u have maybe later on the road when they update it we can get one, since they do have TPS listed on there

Hey Everyone...
I was trying to find out if I could get my TWIC card becuase I'm working in a transportaion facility at the PORT. I've been trying everything to contact someone that would know something.
I've been arguing with them that the Class C33 work permit is very new and their list of acceptable documents hasn't been updated since September of 2011.

ALSO, I've been doing my research... reasons I think we SHOULD (not DO) qualify: DACA is a type of Temporary Protective Status
We have a work permit with no restrictions
We ALREADY have DHS clearance - which is why we were approved for Deferred Action
We don't have leagal status but are considered legally present by DHS (according to info on USCIS website)...

yes but, tps is enacted by congress... we got our stuff via president obama. huge difference there.
