Hi guys,

I want to do travel study in Spain this summer. I am a south Korean citizen and my daca has been approved. Is AP still a risk if I will be traveling for a month just for educational purposes?

I know in Brazil you go through customs before you leave the country (yes, even the citizens) and they won't let you board the plane if you don't have the proper documentation for the country you are travelling to. HOWEVER, Advance Parole has been around awhile so I'm sure most places will know what it is and if they don't I would think they could just translate the damn letter!

Don't you need visa for spain in addition to advance parole?

You can enter Mexico without visa because they don't check at the border although you probbly need visa to visit Mexico.

Yeah if my AP gets granted and Spain grants me a visa, would it still be a risk to travel? In case Spain customs want to hold me when I need to get back to US after my travel study

I don't see why Spain would detain you if you were leaving their country, the trouble would be whether or not the US would let you in. In case they don't, I believe you would be sent back to your home country and not Spain.
I'm in the same boat as you, except I want to travel for humanitarian reasons. From all the information I gathered I'm pretty sure it'd be safe but the truth is we don't know until we do it and that is scary. I have an infopass appointment with USCIS today to ask about this, I doubt they will give me a straight answer but I will post here what they say.
