No man,. listen the point of these background check is to see EXACTLY what USCIS will see. It will take a few weeks for the new one to get updated, so after you go to court, wait a few weeks, then get one

Well, what exactly did the cop tell you? You most likely will be ask to either plead guilty or fight the case. You probably will plead guilty, I forget the consequences for being caught with an illegal weapon.

well, man not to scare or anything but this can be really bad, in some states, carrying a knife (now you need to tell us EXACTLY what type of knife is it, take a picture and upload it here) concealed or openly, you will be charge with a carrying a concealed weapon, worse an illegal one. Which is a FELONY in some states. (specially since it was a switch blade which were illegal in the 50s). Its going to up the cop and what he says. the problem here is there is a limit how long your blade can be, and whether it was concealed or not, however, you were found with an ILLEGAL weapon, think of it as being found with a machine gun, guns are not illegal to own but machine guns are, if its a switchblade, it will hurt you depending what the cop says, if he says you were just found with it but with no intent to hurt others, it might go leaning. But the problem is you were found with an illegal weapon, and thats already a felony in some states.

So most likely ill plead guilty? I will just have to pay the fine right? And I ask the cop if it was a big charge and he told me straight up its a misdemeanor... and he took my blade but this is the same one I was carrying.

You WILL plead guilty because you were FOUND with it, but its up to you, if you chose to NOT plead guilty, you could get a lawyer and fight for you that you were not carrying and that is not yours. And no you won't just the pay and be home, you can be jailed for up to a year, it will depend on your history. Its going to be a class a nonperson misdemeanor so I suggest you look what that means in your municipal
