the bright side is easy to see. There are deals (by politicians) made behind closed doors regarding policies, bills, etc. Maybe voting no on gun control meant voting YES for CIR.

it's a long shot since lobbying from the NRA was a strong opponent to this bill, but [CIR for "no gun control" is] definitely not out of the question.

predictions early in the year predicted that a gun bill would fail but that obama would use his executive powers , so far they were right about the bill failing

This gun law was never going to pass. Obama and the Senate missed its chance. As for immigration, I think it's still stands a good chance of passing.

The reason Gun Law failed was the special interest group. The NRA/Gun Lobbyist pretty much have anything gun related on lockdown.

Nothing wrong with having our future 2nd Amendment rights secured. I don't think this really says what will happen with CIR though.

Exactly... This a whole different topic... In fact this thread should be in other topics

From what I saw on the new I never thought that it was going to pass I always saw to much opposition and negative talks as for immigration I've heard a lot more support from republicans and democrats and it's in the republicans best interest to do something about it.

This is very bad news regardless CIR passes or no. This is proof that this country is headed in the wrong direction domestically. Think about it. These people are against even BACKGROUND CHECKS. They want guns to be COMPLETELY open and ANYBODY regardless of mental health should be able to obtain them. This is very scary news. We should be worried. God bless this country.
