Out of curiosity, when the day comes to apply for permanent residency and in your interview with an immigration judge he brings up a charge for your medicaid benefits, what will you tell him? I qualify because I read a post on dreamact.info?
You asked, I answered. Obviously you don't know it all, I was being sarcastic. They will never ask me such a question because I do not get medicaid benefits. You sure do assume a lot of things for a person that is skeptical about what a law firm has to say on this topic...

Im glad you haven't enrolled your self in medicaid as of yet. For those who have, their is a possible risk factor when applying for LPR down the road. That is the whole point of the thread, awareness for those considering applying to medicaid.

Im sorry if you dont like my skepticism, but I prefer to see Facts. Maybe its a bad habit or my instinct as a science major, or maybe because its plain common sense. Before I go around saying its perfectly okay for DACA applicants to use federal funded health benefits I'd like to be backed up by legitimate sources.

the lady at the medicaid office told me that DACA holders qualify because is a state funded program, not federal.

I got one too. We're suppose to wait for the card from whatever insurance company we applied through.

I'm still not sure if we're eligible for state funded medical benefits. I really would like to know if it's okay to apply for medicaid in NYC. I really need it. Any updates on this?

I tried registering through healthcare.gov - obviously didn't work because they banned us from receiving any federal health insurance, clearly stated here: https://www.healthcare.gov/immigrati...e-marketplace/

I contacted Affinity as recommended above, and to my surprise, NONE of them had any idea what DACA was. I had to explain it to 3 different people, sadly enough, the supervisor didn't have as much as a clue of what it was either.

I really don't know what to do anymore, any advice on where to apply?
Michael809 seems to know what to do..
Where did you apply?
What did you apply for?
Are you paying anything?
Can you please provide links?

Please, any information would be helpful, because of now, I'm unable to talk to anyone who even as much as remotely understand our status and situation.

Thanks.
