Governor Rick Scott recently vetoed a bill that would have allowed the Deferred Action 797-C approval letter to the current list of acceptable documents to obtain a driver's license. That makes no sense because if you're approved for DACA, then your work permit was most likely approved as well - which you CAN use to get a DL. He made a really stupid decision...
"Already, many DACA recipients in Florida are eligible to receive temporary driver's licenses under a provision in Florida law that allows non citizens with federal work permits to apply. DACA recipients can also obtain work permits, but approval of work permits sometimes does not coincide with approval for deferred action."

Ohh wow this is a HUGE relief. I was literally freaking out when I read the article about the veto. So what exactly was his reason to veto the bill?

App Received - DEC 06 2012 Bios Notice - DEC 15 2012 Bios Taken - JAN 02 2013 DACA Approval - APR 25 DEA Approval - APR 26 DEA Received - MAY 02 SSN Application - MAY 06 SSN Received - MAY 13 Learners Permit Passed - May 21 Divers License Passed - JUN 04 When Applying for SSN they asked for the following Documents: .Birth Certificate .Passport (mine was expired but they said it was ok) .Employment Authorization Document .Matricula When applying for Drivers License they asked me for the following documents: .Social Security Number ( not the actual card just the number) .Employment Authorization Document .Proof of Physical Address and Mailing Address ( My matricula and bank statements were enough) You can take practice tests here driving-tests.org wich are almost identical to the DMV tests. I used to study and it really worked for me. This is not much guys but I hope this helps some of you that got approved recently.
